BELGIUM – Ghent, 10 May 2022 – Indigo Diabetes N.V. (‘Indigo’ or the ‘Company’), a pioneering developer of medical solutions using nanophotonics, today announces the appointment of Emmet Lydon as Chief Operating Officer.
Emmet brings more than 30 years of experience working as a senior leader operating in a multinational life sciences environment with extensive experience in Asia, North America and Europe. Most recently, Emmet was VP of Manufacturing Excellence at Stryker, where he was responsible for establishing and deploying the lean manufacturing strategy, digital shop floor organisational transformation with a primary focus on the company’s key implantable franchises including joint replacement, spine, trauma/extremities, craniomaxillofacial and neurovascular.
Emmet is an experienced operations leader having had senior leadership positions at TE Medical, Alere Inc (now Abbott Diagnostics) and Boston Scientific. Responsibilities in these positions involved establishing and implementing supply chain strategy, driving performance through continuous improvement and building the required organisational capabilities to scale these organisations.
